This time of year is all about connections, and we are excited to introduce some of the wonderful new team members who help make our hearing clinic so special. ![]() ![]() ![]() Erica Nam, Audiologist Erica is our newest audiologist! She is a graduate of Dalhousie University's audiology program with a strong clinical background focused on adult populations. Erica works with patients at Munk Hearing Centre and does vestibular assessments at the Hearing & Balance Centre. She is deeply passionate about raising awareness of hearing loss, particularly emphasizing the importance of auditory rehabilitation for older adults. Outside of her professional work, Erica enjoys listening to music, playing the piano, and exploring the vibrant multicultural city of Toronto. She is committed to tailoring interventions to meet the specific communication needs of each person she works with. ![]() We now have Communicative Disorders Assistants! In the next year you may be introduced to our team of Communicative Disorders Assistants. What is a Communicative Disorders Assistant? A Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) is support personnel for Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists. They assist in implementing treatment programs, conduct screenings and assessments for hearing tests, help to maintain clinical equipment and service hearing aids. You'll likely meet one of our CDA's during a hearing aid cleaning appointment or at your annual hearing test. By adding CDA's to our clinic to help with more of the routine aspects of care, our audiologists will have more time to dedicate to programming changes and emergency visits. Rest assured that you will still see your audiologist at your annual appointment and as needed throughout the year! ENT Services In other exciting news, we are thrilled to announce that our Uptown location now offers ENT (ears, nose, and throat) services! This expansion means you can have the expertise of both audiologists and otolaryngologists under one roof, working together to support your overall hearing health. ENT clinics are now running on select date. Please note that a referral is required for consultations. ![]() ![]() More Exciting News! As we transition into the new year, we are thrilled to announce that Emma, one of our audiologists, will be welcoming a new member to her family!
